Time Out London Features Sea Creatures Tour London 2018
Using the same plastination process the world first saw in Dr Gunther von Hagens famous ‘Body World’s’ exhibition, Sea Creatures allows you to dive into the anatomy of some of the ocean’s most iconic marine life. With 50 ethically sourced and painstakingly preserved specimens on display, you can explore the internal organs and structures which enable a life lived under the sea.
Among the dissected specimens, visitors can inspect a variety of smaller curiosities including the lung and eyeball of a Mink Whale, the egg of a King Penguin and the heart of a Sea Lion. Forget charcoal sourdough and matcha lattes, the next Instagram sensation is all about candid shots by deep-sea offal.
The educational exhibition also features virtual reality experiences, allowing you to explore the deepest regions of the Earth’s oceans without the hassle of cramming yourself into a pressurised submersible.
Breaching for the first time in Europe at the RHS Lawrence Hall, London, Sea Creatures will continue its tour on to Edinburgh, Harrogate and Belfast, so catch this white whale before it sinks into the abyss.
